Jacquie Roar: Everything to Know About The Voice Finalist's Journey in Season 24

Jacquie Roar has the eye of the tiger and audiences have most certainly heard her roar (pun very much intended) on Season 24 of The Voice, which has officially wrapped.

With the latest chapter of the hit competition series coming to a close, NBC Insider assembled primers on each of the five finalists, chronicling their respective journeys across the season. Let's dig into the journey of Ms. Roar.

Where Did Jacquie Roar Place in The Voice Season 24?

Jacquie Roar did not win Season 24 of The Voice, placing fourth in the final voting in the season finale.

Roar, a 37-year-old wedding DJ and country singer from Oregon, immediately entranced the Coaches during the Blind Auditions with a cover of “Here for the Party” by Gretchen Wilson. The performance yielded a 4-Chair Turn, with Gwen Stefani netting the contestant — all thanks to Roar's 6-year-old daughter, Leilani. While Reba McEntire seemed like the obvious choice there, Stefani has acquired a serious knack for country music after marrying OG Voice alum, Blake Shelton.

Roar squared off with BIAS during the Battles round, performing a duet of Jelly Roll’s "Need a Favor." BIAS came away victorious, but knowing Jacquie was too good to send home, Reba exercised her right to a Steal. In any case, Roar didn't give her much of a choice, lobbying the other three Coaches to save her from a permanent exit. “I'm a very hard worker, I'm a very hard singer, so somebody hit that button because I’m not leaving this stage," she said just before Reba hit the button.

She went up against Tom Nitti and Alison Albrecht for the Knockouts portion, ultimately winning a ticket to the next round with a cover of "Girl" by Maren Morris. "I chose Jacquie because she knows her range [and] her showmanship is wonderful," Reba explained. "She's comfortable in her own skin."

Then came Playoffs as Roar put her vocal chords to the test with an absolute classic: Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain." The performance was so good, in fact, that Gwen Stefani voiced regret over letting Jacquie go during Battles. "I was sitting here going, ‘Who are you, Gwen Stefani? Like, how could you let her go to Reba? Like, you’re so dumb!’” Stefani exclaimed.

In the end, Roar was chosen to move onto the Lives alongside fellow country singers, Jordan Rainer and Ruby Leigh.

Throughout the Live brodcasts, she has sung "Wildflowers and Wild Horses" (Lainey Wilson), "Don't Blame Me" (she covered the Taylor Swift track with Mara Justine and Nini Iris), "Alive" (Sia), and "Alone" (Heart). The latter performance nabbed her an Instant Save from the audience, allowing her to become one of the Top Five finalists with Huntley (Team Niall), Lila Forde (Team Legend), Mara Justine (Team Niall), and Ruby Leigh (Team Reba).

How to watch The Voice Season 24 finale

The Voice Season 24 finale is divided into two parts: Night 1 on Monday, December 18, which kicks off at 8/7c on NBC and will feature the Top 5 Artists singing one last time for America's vote. Night 2 takes place Tuesday, December 19, kicking off at 9/8c and will include the results plus memorable performances from the Coaches and your favorite superstar singers. Stream it all on Peacock.
