Is there a new Dateline on tonight, January 10, 2025?
No, a new episode of Dateline is not airing tonight, Friday, January 10. NBC will be re-airing an episode from Season 32 at 9/8c.
In Friday night's broadcast — "Bethany Vanished" — Dateline correspondent Keith Morrison reports on the case of Bethany Decker, a 21-year-old mother of a 1-year-old son from Virginia who disappeared in January 2011. She was also five months pregnant with her second child.
"It was weeks before her family understood she'd vanished," Morrison says in a preview for the episode. "The star of the family, the young pregnant mother, the one with all the possibilities. The search for her was intense and it even went national. And it also went nowhere. Then, it was years later when a detective was called to a hospital bed, a state over. And the woman in that bed told him a story that just might solve a mystery."
Nearly a decade passed before a man was arrested and later confessed to killing the young mother. Ronald Roldan, Decker's boyfriend at the time, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to to 12½ years in prison, NBC News reported.
Dateline's episode on the case features interviews with detectives and Decker's mother, Kim Nelson.
