Since first premiering in November 2022, Lopez vs Lopez has brought audiences so many belly laughs and more than a few sentimental moments between Mayan Lopez and her father, George.
Although Lopez vs Lopez will take a break through the end of the year, the show is set to return much sooner than you think.
When is Lopez vs Lopez coming back?
Lopez vs Lopez will return Friday, January 6 at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.
For Mayan, working on the show has brought her a new level of personal understanding and growth, something she didn't expect coming into the project.
"I thought I was going to teach my character things because I've been in therapy for 15 years," she says. "But really, my character is teaching me about having more confidence and speaking to your needs; she's teaching me a lot."
As for the storylines we've seen play out week after week, some are inspired by personal experience, while others are more specific to the various minds collaborating on the show.
"I think [the show] is an amalgamation of the writers' cultural experience in the Latinx community as a whole," she explains. "We’re just trying to tell our story, and it’s going through the vestibule of our relationship, so there are things that are very similar."
Starting April 25, 2023 Lopez vs Lopez moves to Tuesdays at 8:30/7:30c on NBC and next day on Peacock.
