Erin Andrews Tells Seth Meyers How She Helped Make Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Happen
Months after the Fox Sports reporter suggested the two date, Swift's outfit at Thursday's Broncos-Chiefs game held a special significance, Andrews told Seth Meyers.
Erin Andrews is happy to share her pivotal role in sparking the very public romance between Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. She may not have set the two celebrities up, but Andrews arguably manifested it by putting the idea out into the world.
The Fox Sports sideline reporter for NFL games explained it all in an October 16 interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
In August episode of Andrews' podcast, Calm Down with Erin and Charissa, she and co-host Charissa Thompson discussed how amazing it would be if the Super Bowl champion and Season 48 SNL Host and the pop megastar went out on a date. (As Meyers described it, they "put it out into the universe.")

"Have you met him?" Andrews asked Meyers. "He's great, right?"
Meyers agreed. "He's wonderful, she's wonderful, I totally understand why you guys thought this would be a good match," he said.
As Meyers pointed out, Swift just happened to wear a Chiefs windbreaker from Andrews' WEAR sports apparel collection in one of her headline-making appearances at an October 12 Broncos-Chiefs game (does the clever, constant-clue-dropping musician ever do anything by accident?).
"If you have anything and she puts it on," Andrews said. "I mean, if you own a Kleenex company and she wipes her—it's like 'Oh my god!' It was a huge moment."

But back to the courtship of Travis Kelce and one Taylor Swift.
"In August, Travis was very open about not getting to meet her, and so we were just being really candid because we love him," Andrews elaborated. "We just were like, 'Taylor, date this guy,'" she said, adding that her husband Jarret Stoll knows and loves Kelce, too.
While it remains to be seen whether Kelce and Swift will officially confirm their relationship beyond SNL cameos and paparazzi photos, "we hope to officiate the wedding," Andrews jokes.
Oh, and by the way? That WEAR Chiefs windbreaker is sold out now, as Kelce's certainly gained some new fans.
